Customer:

Tingvalla Bygg/Tingvalla Agentur & Handels AB, a construction company based in Sweden.

Challenge:

To increase web traffic to www.tingvallabygg.se and raise the number of customers; using better communication. Tingvalla Bygg had one requirement that stated that it should be simple to add and update news; add reference case studies with lot of images taken from Tingvalla construction sites.

Solution:

Redstone identified soon that a Content management System (CMS) fits well for Tingvalla Bygg, since they like to mix texts and images on the site. We selected the Open Source System Joomla 1.5.x. This CMS is very well tested and well used. By using an already developed system, we saved a lot of development efforts, which means shorter time frame and real money for the customer!

Result:

A tremendous cost-effective solution, but still flexible and adapted for future customer requirements. E.g. Extranet for partner login (already possible today to publish articles on restricted areas of the site). Tingvalla Bygg publishers can now easily via a web-admin GUI add new pictures, create articles, schedule when in time to publish them, and completely decide on their own what content to show on the web site, and that without any interaction from Redstone.

Redstone has built our new web identity incredible fast and to a low cost. Much cheaper then we expected was possible. We met our web-designer at Redstone on a Friday and processed our needs in a first meeting. These was formalized into various requirements. Following step was to sketch out the structure and site flows. After that point; a design was defined using Tingvalla Bygg’s logos, colors, texts and images. Seven days after the first meeting, we ran acceptance test and got education for the new site. Among other we learned how to work as a publisher for content at our site. The site documentation we got is something to lean on if we get unsure how to manage the system. E.g. how to handle backup routings for database. We also got a guide that had been adapted to our deployment with technical information as well as a guide how to maintain the system. All site-content is stored in database, it will be easy in future when we like to adjust layout and form for the site.

We are very pleased with our future-safe site www.tingvallabygg.se and can without doubt recommend other small- and mid-sized companies the same Open Source System CMS and Redstone!”
